Warranty

Thank you for choosing Horacio Bikes. We take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our bicycles, and we stand behind them with an industry-leading warranty.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The benefits given by this warranty are in addition to your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law and other laws. Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits those rights.

This warranty is provided by Horacio Bikes (horaciobikes.com.au). To make a claim, email service@horaciobikes.com.au, or use the warranty claim form below.

Exclusions and conditions

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. The following conditions apply to this voluntary warranty only. They do not limit or exclude your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

- Consumables subject to normal wear are not covered, including but not limited to: tyres, tubes, brake pads, chains, cables and grips.
- Damage resulting from accidents, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, stunt riding, commercial or rental use, improper assembly, improper fit or improper maintenance is not covered. Please follow the assembly and maintenance instructions carefully.
- Water damage to electrical components is not covered.
- Rider weight: the wheels, fork and frame are not covered for riders weighing over 125 kg.
- Modifications: unauthorised modifications — including motorised conversions, custom adaptations that place stress on the frame, or altering the electrical system (such as adjusting the assisted-speed limit beyond 25 km/h) — void this warranty for the motor, battery, controller and any other components affected by the modification.
- Bottle cage and pannier rivets are not covered.
- Surface rust resulting from neglect or mistreatment is not covered.
- Original owner: this voluntary warranty applies to the original owner only and is not transferable.

How to make a claim

If you're experiencing any problems with your bike, please contact our customer service team first — we're here to help you resolve them. The best way to reach us is by email at service@horaciobikes.com.au, or through the Warranty Claim Form below. To help us resolve things quickly, please include your original order details, a clear explanation of the issue, and a photo of the affected part.

- Shipping: for genuine warranty claims, Horacio Bikes covers the return shipping costs.
- Packaging: original packaging is preferred for safe transport, but it is not required for a warranty claim.
- Replacement parts: if a replacement part is needed, the part we supply may differ from the original, but we will ensure it is of equivalent or better quality.

Faulty or misdescribed items

If you receive a faulty item, or one that does not match its description, please contact us immediately. In accordance with the Australian Consumer Law: if the failure is major, you may choose a refund or a replacement; for other failures, we will repair or replace the item within a reasonable time.

Before arranging your own repairs

We understand it can be tempting to seek a quick fix — but please contact us before arranging any third-party repairs. Under the Australian Consumer Law, we are entitled to a reasonable opportunity to inspect the bike and provide a remedy, such as replacement parts, a guided repair, or another solution. If you arrange third-party repairs without giving us that opportunity, we may not be able to cover the costs — except where the Australian Consumer Law entitles you to recover them (for example, in the case of a major failure, or where we have not provided a remedy within a reasonable time).

We're always happy to help quickly and fairly — reaching out to us first lets us support you and avoid any misunderstandings.
